According to studies made on the poker face, the neutral poker face is not the skill that gets the best results, as players tend to believe, particularly if the poker player is bluffing. The best way to bluff is to act reliable and satisfied, which means the player actually has to demonstrate he has a good poker texas holdem hand.

Then again, when a poker player acts as if he had a bad hand or if he shows irritation as if he had missed a good poker hand, the other poker players react with more aggressive poker bets. Apparently, the reaction to joyful faces seems to be a universal and automatic one.

In comparison, a neutral poker face does not get much of an answer in one way or the other. In any case, all responses are affected by continuous play, which gives opponents time to decide if the poker player bluffs regularly or not.
